Words, Vision & Sound is a literary installation that was originally curated by Akeem Balogun for 2022’s 31st Off the Shelf Festival at Event Central. The artwork was created by Thomas Fowler.
It places audiences in the heart of 3 speculative pieces of writing that were turned into visuals by projectionist Zaron:
Yet Another Performance Review by Laura Bui
Floating on the edge, too far to touch another body by James Giddings
Under the Aqueduct by Selma Dabbagh
The texts were narrated by Rider Shafique and Georgia Williams and amplified with sounds designed by musicians Commodo, DSL Official and Utah?
It has also taken place for Huddersfield Literature Festival at Heritage Quay on Thursday 6 June 2024.
